The position reports to the Director of Transportation and will be based in Neenah, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing freight (primarily full truckload and LTL, with some small parcels) from multiple WSI origin points throughout the United States.
Duties include: receiving new orders from our customer solutions group, matching loads to proper mode/carrier using TMS system, confirming load tender acceptance, scheduling appointments, and verifying carrier’s execution of pickup/delivery. Also involves spot quote business, with payable/billable rates negotiated outside of TMS.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a load planning role, including shipment tendering, scheduling appointments, confirming pickup, and in-transit tracking. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to accurately determine both payable and billable rates (in an environment with multiple fuel surcharge matrixes) is crucial.
