Assistant Site Manager

We are currently seeking a first shift, 7 am-3:30 pm, Facility Assistant Site Manager to provide quality leadership to support operations and achieve growth. This full-time position, working Monday – Friday, earning $26.39/hour will report to the Facility Manager and will occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime. Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must adhere to safety and employee policies
  • Safely and efficiently running the day-to-day operation of the entire facility; emphasis on the management of warehouse and office personnel, customer relations, and the implementation of warehouse action plans.
  • Serve our customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Will provide direction to floor workers and CSR’s
  • Responsible for new hire training
  • Must be able to implement and follow through on procedures and keep them current
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations according to WSI policy

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualifications:

  • Should have good customer relation skills and be able to deal with different types of people
  • Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
  • Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
  • Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
  • Applicant should be safety-minded, be able to work under pressure, have leadership skills and meet changing deadlines
  • Good understanding of office procedures is necessary
  • Requires good loading/unloading/storage skills and the ability to understand the quality of the product being handled
  • Positive, clear, and professional communication skills with management, subordinates, and coworkers
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Must also be literate in Word and Excel

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum one year of previous leadership experience
  • Minimum one year of coaching and developing/training employees
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Preferred: one year of experience with SAP
  • Preferred: one year experience with JD Edward (E1)
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
